About the Project

MnDOT District 7, in partnership with Mankato, North Mankato, Blue Earth County, Nicollet County, and the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MAPO), are studying the Highway 14 corridor from Lookout Drive in North Mankato to County Road 12 in Mankato. The study will plan for the future of Highway 14 based on the following goals.

Study Goals

• Identify improvements that support growth, enhance safety, and provide practical, long-term solutions for Highway 14.
• Identify improvements for all modes of travel (driving, walking, biking, and transit) across and along the corridor.
• Develop and evaluate a range of improvements to determine the recommended options for Highway 14 interchanges at Lor Ray Drive (including Commerce Drive), Highway 169, Victory Drive (including Raintree Road), and Highway 22; and other locations like Lookout Drive, Riverfront Drive, and CSAH 12.
• Create an implementation plan that prioritizes improvements over time based on need and potential funding.
