AMENDMENT TO THE 2026-2029 TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM:
On the 4th day of August, 2026, the Mankato/North Mankato Area Planning Organization (MAPO) has released an amendment to the 2026-2029 Transportation Improvement Program for 30-day Public Comment.
Amendments include:
137-010-021T: Increase to amount from funding source
Opportunity for public comment. The public is encouraged to review the draft amendment and provide comment via email, phone, online comment to the MAPO website, in person, or U.S. mail.
The MAPO Policy Board will vote on the amendments on September 3, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. in the Mankato Room (Council Chamber) of the Intergovernmental Center, 10 Civic Center Plaza, Mankato, Minnesota.
What is the TIP?
The TIP is a 4-year schedule of projects in the MAPO area which are programmed and encumbered using dedicated federal, state, and local funds. The TIP is updated annually, is fiscally constrained, and includes federal transit and surface transportation funds. The TIP is a “living” document, meaning it is expected to be amended and modified throughout the year.
