MAPO announces funding opportunity through the Carbon Reduction Program for State Fiscal Year (FY) 2026-2029.
The Carbon Reduction Program provides funding to support projects that will reduce carbon emissions. Available funding through the Carbon Reduction Program:
- FY 2028: $140,000
- FY 2029: $140,000
- FY 2030: $140,000

Interested agencies may complete the funding application and return it to Chris Talamantez by 4:00 pm Friday January 30, 2026.

Solicitation timeline:
- October 16 – Announce solicitation; Open Letter of Intent (LOI) period
- November 3 – Deadline for LOI
- November 6 – LOIs review process by MPOs
- November 24 –MPO review of LOIs and recommendation to proceed
- December 1 – Official start of full application period
- January 30 – Deadline for full applications
- March 30 – Deadline to select CRP projects
- May 21– TAC Meeting to recommend projects
- June 4 – Policy Board review and adopt recommendation
