RFP – Riverfront Drive Intersection Improvements Study

The Mankato/North Mankato Area Planning Organization (MAPO) has released a Request for Proposal (RFP) to solicit responses from qualified firms interested in services described in the proposal for the purposes of producing a comprehensive Riverfront Drive Intersection Improvement Study in the City of Mankato. The firm selected must have experience and expertise in multimodal transportation planning, including (but not limited to) project management, public engagement, data collection and analysis, financial resources, project implementation, and a clear understanding of the MPO planning process and federal and state requirements.

Study description

This Study will evaluate appropriate intersection controls at the intersections of Riverfront Drive and May Street and Riverfront Drive and Mabel Street. The study’s objectives include creating planning-level alternative for improving multimodal traffic safety, connectivity, operations, and crossing opportunities. Deliverables include technical memos, intersection control evaluations, traffic capacity and operations analysis, and a range of planning-level alternatives. Total Project Cost (est.): $60,000. Anticipated completion: December 2023
