Developing over 2021-2022, the Lookout Drive-CSAH 13 Corridor Study will identify improvements on the Lookout Drive-CSAH 13 Corridor between 512th Street on the north and Lee Boulevard on the south. The study will evaluate existing issues and examine alternatives to help improve all modes of transportation, including driving, walking, biking, and transit. An effort of MAPO, the City of North Mankato, and Nicollet County, the study will help define a comprehensive vision for the Lookout Drive-CSAH 13 Corridor. The concepts developed as part of the study will be high level and will need additional refinement through preliminary and final design.

Lookout Drive Area Plan
Running independently and concurrently with the Lookout Drive Corridor Study, the City of North Mankato is examining the area surrounding Lookout Drive to understand existing conditions and citizen views on what improvements or amenities could enhance the study area. Through the Area Plan, the City is examining land use, economic development, area recreation, and area design. A visioning survey was conducted from February 2nd through February 18th for North Mankato citizens to provide their feedback on the current state of, and the future of, the area surrounding Lookout Drive. The survey results can be seen at the following: Lookout Drive Visioning Survey – Summary of Results
